چکیده
Lens coloboma is a developmental defect resulting from abnormalities of the zonules and ciliary body. It may present as an isolated pathology or be accompanied by anomalies in different ocular structures. We report case 20-year-old man referred for evaluation anisometropic amblyopia right eye. Manifest refraction was −2.25 +3.00 ×35 eye; corrected distance visual acuity, 20/50. Corneal topography revealed regular astigmatism +2.46 D at 124°, wavefront aberrometry irregular internal +6.27 35°. Only after full pupillary dilation peripheral lens observed. This demonstrates that even minor distortions clear normally positioned lenses lead to raises possibility corneal changes occur developmentally through process emmetropization partly compensate lenticular arising coloboma.

متن کاملPartial trisomy 10q with mild phenotype caused by an unbalanced X;10 translocation.
Trisomy 10 has been detected in spontaneous abortions and prenatally. Although there are no reports of duplication of the whole long arm of chromosome 10, duplication of 10q21–qter has been found in a stillborn infant. Trisomy of more distal 10q is associated with a characteristic syndrome and has been described in many cases which almost always are familial, 4 but patients with trisomy of the ...
متن کاملMicroduplication of 4p16.3 due to an unbalanced translocation resulting in a mild phenotype.
With the widespread clinical use of comparative genomic hybridization chromosomal microarray technology, several previously unidentified clinically significant submicroscopic chromosome abnormalities have been discovered. Specifically, there have been reports of clinically significant microduplications found in regions of known microdeletion syndromes. In general, these microduplications have d...
متن کاملUnbalanced 5;16 translocation in a boy with papillary thyroid carcinoma.
This is the first reported case of an unbalanced chromosome rearrangement resulting in trisomy 5q35.5-->qter and monosomy 16p 13.3-->pter, in a boy with mental and growth retardation, minor anomalies, and a history of bilateral papillary thyroid carcinoma. This was the result of a familial balanced translocation. The clinical and cytogenetic manifestations of the case are presented and the poss...
